CNC Plasma Cutter

CNC Plasma Cutter is a WIP project to make a CNC machine for plasma cutter in collaboration with a welding workshop.

3 of us connected through Fab Academy proposed to FeNEEDS Kamakura (a welding workshop that helped me build Mini Salt Factory) to make a CNC machine for their plasma cutter.

Art-CNC kit with frame and motors was purchased from Avalon Tech.

For the control board, we used RnR board that operates under Mach 3 system.

We have built a stable machine, wired the motors, emergency stop button, and limit switchs, and configured the ports & pins on Mach 3.
We have also created g-code through Lazy Cam and conducted a cut simulation on Mach 3.

After we fixed the plasma cutter onto the CNC machine, and configured the relay system onto it, the machine would soon be able to cut metal!
